In Yekaterinburg ended the VII International festival "Petrushka the Great".

For the bronze statue of Petrushka fought 15 theaters from five countries: Russia, Italy, Japan, Spain and France.

The performance "Carmen" from Vologda Puppet Theatre was awarded the diploma of the main jury "for the artistic integrity".

Vologda audience will be able to see a spectacle "Carmen" on October 31st on the stage of Vologda Regional Puppet Theatre "Teremok".

Vologda Puppet Theatre "Teremok" continues its festival march across the country. At this time, the performance of "Carmen" will be played in Ulyanovsk and Yekaterinburg.

From 6 to 14 September in the framework of the cultural program of the IV International Cultural Forum in Ulyanovsk once again will be organized a festival of the best productions of the country, the winners of the National Theatre Award "Golden Mask". The festival announced four productions of popular Russian theaters, including a performance of "Carmen" Vologda Puppet Theatre.
              
On the eve of the festival the informational portal of Ulyanovsk says:
"Spectacle, directed by Boris Konstantinov is called by critics and theatre experts one of the best theatre interpretations of eternal work of Prosper Merimee during last one and a half centuries after the opera by Georges Bizet. Now we only have to wait when Spanish passions about "Carmen" will flare up in Ulyanovsk".

And already on September 12 "Carmen" is expected to arrive in Yekaterinburg, where starts the VII International festival "Petrushka the Great", which has become in recent years one of the most prestigious theater forums.

15 performances of the leading puppet theaters of Russia and close and far foreign countries will be shown at the festival this year. Vologda puppeteers will present their "Goldenmasked" "Carmen" on September 12th on the stage of the Chamber Theatre.
The play "The Tale of Tsar Saltan" of Vologda Puppet Theatre was presented at the International Puppet Festival, which took place from 10 to 17 August in the Bulgarian city of Burgas.

Vologda viewers had the opportunity to meet with Bulgarian puppeteers in October 2013, when Burgas Puppet Theatre first visited our city within the framework of international exchange tours.
For Vologda puppeteers this visit to Bulgaria was not the first either. In the spring of 2013 Vologda Puppet Theatre participated in the XVIII National Festival of Puppet Theatre named after Mikhail Lakatnik, which was held in the Bulgarian city of Yambol. It was then and there began a friendship between the two theaters, and we continue to cooperate since then.

The show "The bird named Carl" presented by Vologda Regional Puppet theatre "Teremok" is sent to 2nd international festival "LYALKČ OVER Neman" (Dolls over Neman), which will be held between 11 and 15th of May in Grodno.

This year's festival will be attended by 20 theaters from Russia, Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Serbia, Estonia, Belarus. Performances will go directly to the 4 floors. The performance of our theater "Bird named Carl" will be shown on May 13th the big stage of the Grodno Puppet Theater in the competition program of the festival.
