The Building of the Theatre
The church of Zosima and Savvaty
Solovetskih was constructed right at the beginning of
the 18th century. The exact year of its
construction is unknown |
For long our theatre didn’t have its own building and
was “a theatre on wheels”. And only in 1966 we got a
building similar to a mini-palace or terem restored by
the architect V. Banige.

Care of spectators can be seen everywhere and it starts
from the cloak-room. Spectators leaving their clothes
there get nicely-painted wooden figures with long
laces. Hang the figure on your neck and you won’t lose
it! |
It’s very pleasant to spend time at the
theatre’s café, enjoy the exhibition of puppets and
studies and buy a guide or a program of our performances |
Children like this part of the theatre very much. They
come to the performances beforehand and don’t want to
leave the theatre as they enjoy nice plants and funny
animals here. |
There are nicely-carved balconies along the stairs.
Puppets on the balconies are greeting guests of our
theatre. |
Armchairs in the hall can be transformed so that small
spectators sit at the same level with adults and can see
the stage well from any place in the hall. |
